This cultural tour takes you deep into the lush Mayan jungle to explore the exciting archeological site of Coba, home to the tallest Mayan structure in the Yucatan, named Nohoch-Mul. Of all of the archaeological sites in Mexico, this is one of the few pyramids that you can climb. Once you reach the top, you have a breathtaking view above the jungle canopy as far as the eye can see. We can rent bicycles to get around a little faster as the structures are spread out. To cool off you are able to swim in one of the area’s unique cenotes, which are freshwater sinkholes that the Mayans revered as the entrance to their sacred underworld. 

Then it is time to enjoy a great traditional meal with a local Mayan family to learn about local cuisine. All fueled up you will take a trip to the sanctuary where one of the village guides will take you through the jungle to find and observe the native spider monkey population, and take an incredible zip-line adventure more than 200 meters long through the Mayan jungle and over the Punta Laguna Lagoon. We also will take you back in time to witness the beauty of the Mayan culture by being a part of a true Mayan purification ceremony held by a native shaman.
